POINTS TO MENTION

• In great pre-owned condition, with light wear from use

The watch is in very good condition. The case is strong with some scratches. The bevels on the edges of the case are clearly visible, and the demarcation of the brushed/polished finishes are clear. The bezel has some scratches it would be a shame to polish these out and remove the beautiful history it carries. The caseback is marked with a Seamaster Hippocampus medallion, which is clearly visible and crisp.

On the wrist, the case is a familiar Speedmaster, but with a comfortable 39mm by 14mm shape and still with classic features of the collection like twisted lugs, outer tachymetric bezel (though here in steel as compared to a traditional black painted aluminum), and a sturdy set of pump pushers flanking a deeply toothed crown. It's on the dial where we see the unique features of the design in its uncommon silver colorway, vertical chronograph configuration, and namesake date window at the three o'clock position. A smart application of metal, white, and black accents paired with trapezoidal shapes for the hour markers and date window further distinguish the look. 

The Speedmaster Date was introduced before the wide adoption of Co-Axial movements by OMEGA, and as such is powered via the OMEGA caliber 1152, a reliable mechanism based upon the ETA 7750. The movement is capable of a 44-hour power reserve and is as robust as the case that houses it

The watch is sold on its original Omega Bracelet, brushed and polished stainless steel links with a signed deployant clasp, measuring overall 19cm. The watch is from around the early 2000's and is in worn condition, however, as you can see from the photos it is in great condition with few signs of wear. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

 The Speedmaster was originally introduced in 1957 as a racing watch, and it wasn't until 1969 – when the hand-wound chronograph accompanied the crew of Apollo 11 onto the surface of the Moon – that it received the legendary status it currently holds.
